Organized by HMSI, this discussion session highlighted the issue of “People Pleasing.” Throughout the forum, participants exchanged thoughts and experiences about the pressure to meet others’ expectations, the difficulty of saying no, and the tendency to prioritize others’ needs over their own. Through meaningful conversations, the session encouraged participants to recognize people pleasing behaviors, set healthier boundaries, and understand that putting themselves first does not mean letting others down. More than just a talk, the session turned into a space where honest stories were shared and boundaries were openly valued. Participants left with a stronger sense that saying no is not selfish, but an act of self care and respect.
